Aaron Merasty 

With heavy hearts we announce that Aaron Merasty, beloved husband, father, son, brother and friend to many, passed away peacefully with family at his side on May 8th, 2024 in Winnipeg Manitoba after an unexpected illness.

Born in Lynn lake Manitoba on Nov 22nd, 1981 to his mother Seonaid and late father Harry. He spent his early years in Brochet before moving to Lynn Lake at 7 years old where he remained until moving to Winnipeg to further his education after high school.

He is survived by his wife Tara of 11 years, and their children Elena and Cohen and his oldest son Miguel, his mother Seonaid Merasty, brothers Bobbi (Leona), Josh (Amanda), Brent (Rachel), Zen (Elise) and sister Delores (Max), his grandmother Dorothy, also many aunties, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and numerous friends and co-workers.

Aaron was predeceased by his father Harry Merasty, his paternal grandparents Joe and Catherine Merasty, uncles Napoleon, Sidney, Andrew, Harvey and most recently his uncle Adam on April 3rd and uncle Norville on May 14th/24, as well as maternal grandparents Michael (Mickey) and Jessie FitzGerald and auntie Angela.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday June 1st, 2024, at the Centre Culturel Franco-Manitobain located at 340 Provencher Blvd.  at 1pm in Winnipeg, MB
