ALEXANDER “ALEX” MARK YALOWSKY Peacefully after a short illness, Alex passed away on Friday, December 19, 2014, at the age of 90 years with his beloved wife at his side. Besides his wife Sonya, Alex will be lovingly remembered by his son, Neil (Diane); daughter, Andrea (David); grandchildren, Michael, Richard, Tiffany; and sister-in-law, Lillian. He was predeceased by his father, William; mother, Anna; sister, Mary and brother, Roy. Dad managed L.H. and B. Levi Bros. wholesale jewelers from his early 20’s until he retired at the age of 65. He loved his job and the many friends he made through work. Our Dad was a huge sports enthusiast. He loved watching hockey, football, baseball, and curling but his passion was golf. He played the game expertly well into his 80’s until he could no longer walk and earned the title “Ace” from those who played alongside him. Dad often said he had a very happy life. He was devoted and dedicated to his wife of 65 years, his children and grandchildren. He enjoyed the summers he spent with his family at Sunset Beach and later at Gimli. He will be sadly missed, but forever in our hearts. A private family memorial will be held at a later date. The family extends special thanks to the staff at the Victoria General Hospital (4 South).
