ALVIN JAMES HERBERT
    It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Alvin James Herbert. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at the age of 91 years with his family by his side on Saturday, March 4, 2017.    Left to deeply miss Al are his loving wife Pauline; daughters Kim (Paul), Pam (Albert) and Debra (Roger); grandchildren Jasmine, Jordan, Melissa, Jeffrey, Derrick, Travis and Nathan along with eight great-grandchildren.   Al was born and raised in Kenora, Ontario. He later moved to Winnipeg where he settled down and spent the remainder of his life. He will be fondly remembered for his keen sense of humour.           A Celebration of Al’s Life will take place at Niakwa Towers, 115 Niakwa Road on Wednesday, March 8, 2017 between 12:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.   The family would like to send a special word of thanks to the wonderful staff on 4B at St. Boniface Hospital.    In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.     Wojcik’s Funeral Chapels & Crematoriums, Winnipeg, 1020 Main Street, 204.586.8668 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com
