Wilma and family: So sorry to hear about the very recent passing of Al. His many contributions, in direct support of the Assiniboine Memorial Curling Club, cannot be overstated. His unselfish contributions as a long time Board Member, Past President, curler and regular volunteer were very much appreciated and instrumental in ensuring the successful operation of our great facility. Admittedly our opinions clashed every so often, however for the most part both of us put the club's interests ahead of all else. Hoping to attend his Service and pass on my condolences to Al's family and friends. With Deepest Sympathies Paul Batchelor

Wilma and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. I was one of those people who was fortunate to know Al. I met Al while working at Winpak and I always considered him a warm, caring, friendly, dedicated individual and a good friend. At work, Al always took on new and challenging opportunities and that I admired about him. Al was the guy who arranged all of our lunch or dinner get-togethers, the last one being a month ago, so we never lost touch with what was happening in each other’s lives, some of us retired and some still working at Winpak. We always enjoyed hearing about your family both in Winnipeg and Alberta. Al would share highlights of your many trips and adventures. He also shared his and your numerous volunteer experiences. During Al’s career in real estate, I had the pleasure of receiving his expertise and knowledge when we sold our family home. The advice that he gave us was very helpful and appreciated. There are no words that I can say to tell you how sorry I am for your loss, only to say that I am wishing you peace and comfort in these difficult days. Wilma, my thoughts are with you and your Family, Take care, Lynn Kemp

Such a sad day, with deepest sympathy to Jason, curt, Brian and all the family. I still remember the bee keeping as a kid, the trips to the lake and fun Winnipeg adventures. You were always so good to us growing up. We will miss you Uncle Allen. Ray
