ANGELO  COLONNA
 
   It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Angelo on Wednesday, January 18, 2017, after a brief illness. He passed away in Winnipeg at the age of 73 years.   Remaining to cherish Angelo’s memory are his sister, Giovanna; brothers Pasquale (Maria) and Martire (Alvena); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother Anna; father Michele; brother Nicola and brother-in-law Giuseppe.   On November 19, 1943, Angelo was born in Mola di Bari, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1968. He worked as a bricklayer in Winnipeg and other locations in Manitoba, as well as Alberta and Ontario. He retired in 2009 and resided in Winnipeg.   Angelo was a kind and gentle man who liked to spend time with family and friends. He loved soccer and his favorite Italian team was Inter Milan.   Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 510 River Avenue, Winnipeg, with Rev. Fr. Sam Argenziano, presiding. Interment will follow in Assumption Roman Catholic Cemetery, 3990 Portage Avenue.
