Anna the day I met you I knew you were a very special lady. I met you at Jocyln House where my brother lives. You invited me into your room one evening and we had a great visit. You touched my heart with your stories about your life. You also cared so much about Beano. I will never forget you Sweet lady. My thoughts and Prayers are with Anna's family. Rest in peace lovely Anna.

Memories of Mrs. Hoppe will always hold a special place in my heart. I have many fond memories of her babysitting Shannon (my sister) and I. Mrs. Hoppe always gave us loving care and made us feel special. I hold fond memories of her attending my wedding and my daughter's (Brianne) baby shower. I admire her for her strength with her battles in illness. She is an inspiration. My sincere condolences Jennifer Jeanson (Reid)

I knew Anna for only a short while. Beano was quite taken aback when he found out the new lady and his neighbor at Jocelyn House was named 'Anna'. It was our dear mother's name also. She passed away at the young age of 29 of cancer. Beano was 12, I 10. Having her in the next room left us in awe. A dear lady named Anna. To us that was special in itself. Beano was so happy when she asked him to open the window for her the day she passed. It was an honor for him to do this for her. When she passed it struck him profoundly. I had the pleasure of listening to her chat a few times. On Tuesday of her last week, I purposely wanted to take the time to visit her when I dropped by to pick up some of Beano's belongings as he was in the hospital. She told me about her gambling skills, her coming to Canada, her friends. She truly had alot to talk about. Another time she told me about her daughter that in the 70's her daughter was runner up to Miss Manitoba. She was quite proud of that and rightly so. The last words in the Obituary by her daughter,'mom, you are an angel', reflected exactly what Beano and I thought of her!!!!

I never had the privilege of meeting Anna, but I saw her through the eyes of her daughter. It is a beautiful picture which I am grateful to have had the opportunity to share. Along with her many accomplishments, Anna leaves an amazing legacy in Rosel ... One which I'm sure she proudly underscores even now. May that spirit always light the way for her very special family. Fondly, Karen

We first met Anna when we moved to the neighborhood in 1975. Our relationship began with Anna looking after our sons and then continued on to being friends with regular backyard chats. Anna was very vigilant on neighborhood activities and always kept us up to date on local goings on. We knew when we were away Anna kept an eye on what was happening around our home. She kept a beautiful yard. Anna always had time to chat....unless she was going bowling. She spoke proudly of her family. She was a good neighbor and friend and we will miss her.
