ANNA WEBINGER
February 11, 1926 ? August 27, 2015

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mom, Grandma, Great-Grandma and Great-Great Grandma.
Left to mourn Anna are her son, John (Cheri); granddaughter, Lisa; grandson, Michael (Brynlee-Ann); great-grandchildren, Hailey, Hendrix and Harlow; daughter-in-law, Joyce; grandsons, Trevor and Kevin (Jaclyn); grandson, Murray (Debbie); great-granddaughters, Ashley (Jim), Kristyn (Mark) and Amber; great-great grandchildren, Landon, Malaiya, Gabriella and Chloe. She was predeceased by her son, Peter in 2004 and husband, John in 2006.
Anna was born in Ukraine, coming to Canada in the early 1950?s in search of a better life. Surviving the reign of both Stalin and Hitler, Anna?s fighting spirit was evident in all she did. For many years, Anna worked slinging meat at Manitoba Sausage making her capable of defeating her grandsons at arm wrestling well into their teens. She remained physically fit and active into her 89th year, putting those 20 years her junior to shame.
Anna was unapologetic in who she was; her lightning fast wit and razor sharp tongue are things we will dearly miss. She was a little lady with a big personality, infectious laugh, and memory like a steel trap.
At Anna?s request a private family service will take place.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Anna?s memory to the Children?s Wish Foundation, 350 St Mary Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2.
