Obituaries

Son of Peter Halayko, Ladywood, Manitoba, who were close friends and neighbors of the Lewko family. I first met Ann in the early 1940s, before she was married to Larry. I was told she was a cousin of the Halayko family, but I think they adopted her, because of her pleasant personality and manner. My family has many pleasant memories of visits with Ann and Larry in Beausejour, Victoria, B.C, and Winnipeg over the years. Our Sympathy and Condolences go out to the family at this time. My deepest condolences to the Stebbe family for the loss of a great lady, Anne. I will forever remember her generosity towards me and making me feel like a part of her family (and feeding me delicious pies!). I know that Anne and Larry are holding each other close and dancing cheek-to-cheek in heaven. With love,Rae
