Andy McBill

Andy (Azlemo McBill) passed away peacefully at Grace Hospital on the 16th of July 2023. Andy was born to the late Mohamed McBill and Shirley Banarse on February 13th 1967 Wakenaam, Guyana.

He was the common law spouse to Steve Van Norman for over 26 years. Andy is survived by other siblings: Tully, Sabrina Ali, Steve, Selena Budhai, Joannie, Lita, numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. Also the late Nicky and Sammy.

Andy highly performed in the academics. He attended Sans Souci Primary School and Passed the Common Entrance Exam at 10 years old and went on to secondary level education at Bishops High School where he achieved passes in various subjects in the CXC. He also wrote a few subjects GCE Advance level and were successful.

Andy also achieved a scholarship from The Guyana Government to pursue a degree in International Law at Kiev University in the mid to late 80s. He later migrated to Canada and met Steve and the two of them have been together.

Andy was an avid reader, a great chef and loves his family and friends. He was a very kind and respectful human being, generous and caring. May his soul rest in peace.

Andy will be cremated. No flowers by request. Any donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation Of Manitoba.
