So sorry to hear the news of Barbs passing. I had the privilege of working with Barb for 20 years at HSC and will always remember her quiet caring and compassion. She truly was one of the anchors of the Dept of Child and Adolescent Mental Health. Rest in peace Barb. Your legacy will endure. A la prochaine!

My beautiful sweet mom, it’s difficult for me to come to terms with this yet and hard to talk but I’ll say what I can. I love you more and miss you dearly. I so blessed to have you as my mom and be a second mom to my daughter. Raising her together is the most beautiful gift. The bond we share is pure unconditional love and you are with us always. Your my best friend soulmate and mom. You are the most beautiful woman inside and out, strong, brave, gentle, kind, giving, funny with the greatest laugh 🤍 you always care for others and animals helping anyone in need, so selfless and thinking of you is a warm hug to my soul. Thank you for everything and all the time we’ve shared laughing and our deep conversations. I miss you so much mom. Your a Devine soul of perfection. I love you more ❤️

Reg and family, Barb was an amazing women. She was strong as she told me before, “Reg says I am from good stock.” She was very modest and at times shy but she knew how to run a workplace like a well oiled machine. She was missed the first day she left HSC. She will always be remembered by staff that had the privilege of working with her as a kind gentle person. Rest peace my dear friend.

So sorry to hear of Barb's passing. She was so devoted to Reg and the girls. She was so helpful in getting our daughter into being assessed on reading skills which went a long way to Heather graduating with honors. A million thanks. Rest in peace Barb. Dale and Marion Newsham

My condolences and sympathies to Morrie, Karri, and Reg. I had the privilege of knowing Barb for 33 years and working with her directly at HSC for 25 years. From the moment i met her she exuded kindness, helpfulness and real interest in those around her. I spent lots of time chatting with her; her love and pride in Reg and their daughters was unwavering. She was especially proud of her grand children. She clearly enjoyed family time and especially travelling to Mexico. Barb's dedication to healthcare was her priority and she will be missed by all those whom she touched.

I did not know Barbara personally, but I do know her daughter Morrie. I met Morrie via Facebook and she has become one of my dearest friends. Reading this obituary, it seemed as though anyone would have loved to know Barbara. I do know that she raised a kind, gentle, loving daughter that I have grown to call my dearest friend. I wish nothing but good wishes and thoughts for the family. Let her memory live on within her family. Prayers to the family. -Deanna Salvitti
