BENNY CROOKS
November 9, 1935 ? April 7, 2015

Peacefully at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 79 years Benny went home to his Holy Father.
Benny is survived by his loving wife of 57 years of marriage, Marina; son Robert (Jayne) and granddaughter Laurence; son Patrick (Shawna); granddaughter Kaeleigh (Tedyon); great grandchildren Hannah, Brodie and Aidan; granddaughter Karah (Matt); daughter in law Linda McNaughton (George) and granddaughter Mikayla; as well as by his sister Margaret. He was predeceased by his parents Ben and Frances; sons, Byron, Kenneth; daughter in law, Barbara; as well as his sisters, Noreen and Mickey.
For 24 years Benny was a member of the Canadian Armed Forces after which he spent 17 years as a civil servant working with 17 Wing in Winnipeg. After retiring in 1993 his primary focus became raising Kaeleigh and Karah after the passing of their parents Kenneth and Barbara ? as family had always been center of his world. Several years of travelling to BC to visit family each year came to an end as his health declined in the past decade.
Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Monday, April 13, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320 St. Charles Street, Winnipeg, MB, with Rev. Fr. Paul Tinguely, presiding.
We would like to give special thanks to Charlene and Jo of Home Care who assisted in ensuring Benny was able to remain in his own home for as long as possible.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association or the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
