While playing the part of Best Man at Blanche and Roy's wedding, I caught my finger in the door of the car as the wedding procession left the church. Blanche handled the situation with the same compassion, humour and kindness she showed throughout her life. In any event, the real Best Man was standing by her side that day as he continued to do through wonderful times and more difficult ones. Roy, your love and respect for Blanche has been a source of inspiration to us. Lorraine and Gail join me in expressing our gratitude for having been included in Blanche's circle of friends and cherish our memories of the happy days.

My sincere condolences to Roy and daughters on the loss of their precious wife/mother. As a former player of shuffleboard at the St. James 55+ centre I can well sympathize with Roy for rushing off to be of comfort to her during her lengthy struggle. Tip of a hat to him. It must have been very hard on the whole family. Blanche is now at peace. Consider that you made her parting so much easier. Regards, Doreen McDonald

I belonged to a bridge club with Blanche in the 1960's, early seventies and remember her wonderful sense of humour. Looked forward to Tuesdays and the latest hilarious tale.Deepest sympathy.
