I am deeply saddened by this news. I found out today about Bruce from a mutual friend. I currently live in Vancouver and was hoping to meet up with Bruce during my short stay in Winnipeg. There are not enough words to say about how Bruce helped me and was a consistent companion while I lived in Winnipeg. He is an example and a valued friend that will be missed. If anyone is able to share if Bruce has a resting place I'd appreciate an opportunity to say good-bye. Thanks for everything my friend, Huf M

Having been away, I missed Bruce's announcement and, ever so sadly, his service. Our heartfelt condolences to Libby and family. Bruce was a 'character' like none other but he taught me a great deal during the times I was fortunate enough to spend with him.

Dearest Libby...the love between the two of you was like a beautiful romantic fairytale and will live on. Sunshine and the love from family and friends will eventually ease the pain and heal your soul. My arms are wrapped around you, Chris, Sarah, and Jackie. Love always...Karen

I am so grateful to have broken bread with Bruce just a few weeks before he passed. Interestingly enough was that I had left Wpg on Sunday after my first visit on Friday of the long weekend when my truck mysteriously broke down forcing me to stay a few more days to wait for repairs allowing me a second and final visit with Bruce and Libby on Tuesday. I picked up the truck and left Wednesday back to Edmonton. Funny thing was that there wasn't anything wrong with the truck except a slightly loose relay switch which hasn't acted up since or before. Bruce was a close friend, confidant and business associate as we've collaborated on many projects. He certainly helped me out on a personal and professional many times. I'll miss you my friend, till we meet again and my prayers are with your family at this difficult time......Lenny G

Bruce has been a part of our family for over forty years - right from the first day Charlie brought him over to visit, and he ended up staying. Always bringing humour to any situation, kind and caring. We owe Bruce so much and are forever grateful for his love and friendship. We will miss him deeply. My condolences to all his family and friends.

I was saddened to hear of Bruce's passing! As I continue to walk the path of sobriety, I always remember that my start after treatment was attending a big book study at Bruce & Charlie's place in St. James! He gave me the gift of learning to laugh and find joy in the companionship of sober living! We walked to see the Canada day fireworks after the group and I was given the gift of having a sense of awe restored to me! It is a true loss to the fellowships and his family and friends that he should pass so young! Sincerely LarryK

Dear Bruce will always be remembered with love by Libby's family, Don, Rob, Gwen, James, Alison, Amanda, and Andrea. Bruce's sense of humour especially remains in our hearts and so fondly remembered with special times such as playing Christmas 'Craniuim' .. a board game that became tradition with us. His neice's and nephew always remarked how truly funny he was, and so entertaining and great to be around! Bruce was an avid reader and could remark and tell stories on any subject. Bruce was kind...a good and generous man. He is someone that is dearly missed and at last at peace now.Our sincerest condolences to Bruce's family and friends.

Bruce somehow always managed to miss our family get togethers, until the last couple years, when we finally got to know him. I feel greatly honored to have gotten to spend some time with him recently. He was willing to help out, always approachable, a real character. Life was taken from him too soon, it is unfair. We will all miss him. Our condolences go out to Libby and family, who were real saints helping him through especially these last few months. He passed peacefully (from what I have been told), and was never alone. That was a tremendous gift on everyones part. May we all remember his humor, and his willingness to help. He was quite the character, and I am blessed to have known him. Never to be forgotten. He certainly made a imprint on our family.
