CANDACE LAURA HAMILTON
October 25, 1998 – April 15, 2015

It is with great sadness that at the young age of 16 our sweet Candace surrounded by family at home, closed her eyes for the last time. Candace bravely fought cancer for the past two plus years. She always had a big smile and a joke for all those around her. We can still hear her saying, Its ok, everything happens for a reason.?
Left to miss Candace more than words can say are her parents Roger and Lori; siblings Zackary and Chantel; grandparents Donald and Lillian Hamilton; Dennis and the late Olga Alexiuk; as well as by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Candace attended Maple Leaf, Chief Peguis Jr. High and River East Collegiate. Throughout her battle she thought it was very important to continue going to school. She loved art, cooking , reading, writing short stories, the outdoors, camping, quading, fishing, archery and gracefully swimming (without turtles!). Candace was always full of fun and interesting facts.
A Celebration of Candace?s Life will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. in Immanuel United Church, 755 Golspie Street.
Extreme thanks to Grandpa H. for all the hours driving, Aunty Karen staying with us in Vancouver, and to all our family and friends for all your support. We’d also like to send special thanks to the Doctors, Nurses and support staff at Cancer Care and CK5, everyone at Immanuel United Church and Richard Wojcik for all his extra kindness. Thank you also to Grace and the Dream Factory. You all made the journey a little easier.
In lieu of flowers, a trust fund has been set up under Candace Hamilton’s name at any of The Royal Banks (open for 30 days) for her siblings? continuing education that she and they believed is so important.
