Dear Lucille and Family:Charlie first met Carl when he was Chief in London. They then worked together in the Regional offices in Toronto and finished their working days in Winnipeg. Railway men are a different breed who live on memories and relationships. Carl was always a very responsible guy and many of us relied on people of his trade for our personal safety. Our sympathies are with you and your family in his loss. C'est la vie ...... We wish you the very best for the future,Connie and Charlie Pike. Peterborough, Ontario.

Carl, you were not just my father-in-law... 15 years ago when my Dad passed away you took over the role and you gave the best hugs. I will miss your dry sense of humour that always made me laugh. I can't thank you enough for raising such an amazing son who is the most loving and caring husband and father. I am so happy that Sydney and Lauren were able to have their Grandpa in their lives for as long as they did. We love you and miss you.
