CAROLYN RUTH DZAMON

Peacefully, on her terms, with her family by her side, our Mom/Nana, Carolyn Ruth Dzamon (nee Leatherdale, Hutchings) passed away at the Grace Hospital on April 4, 2023 at the age of 83.

She will be sadly missed by her children, David (Dona) Hutchings, Sharon Hutchings (Dennis) and Chris (Tammi) Hutchings. Her grandchildren; Sam, Hope, Isabella, Grayson and Kieran. Her sister-in-law Diane Dzamon, her step children Valerie Woodward and Curtis Dzamon. As well as her special sister Verna and numerous family, and friends.

She was predeceased by her best friend and beloved husband Ernie Dzamon, mother Helen Bleeks, father Vernon Leatherdale, brother Wayne Leatherdale and sister Dianne Johnson.

Mom loved her family dearly and held many family dinner celebrations. There was always so much laughter. She loved her crafts and gardening. She was a member of AA and celebrated 43 years of sobriety. She was a breast cancer survivor and unfortunately suffered from numerous health problem most of her adult life.

In accordance with Moms wishes cremation has taken place. A private memorial for family and close friends will take place at a later date.

We would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital for the great care of our Mom over the last four months. She became very fond of so many who cared for her.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to the Diabetes Association of Manitoba.
