CATHERINE “CATHY” PATERSON NEE BARIL
DECEMBER 2, 1955 – AUGUST 18, 2022
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our wife, mom, grandma/ grammie Cathy, after a lengthy journey with posterior cortical atrophy.
Left to mourn and cherish so many happy memories are her mother Nadia Baril, her husband of 45 years Kevin, daughters Sara (David), and Carolyn (Matt), her grandchildren Félix, Madeleine, Charlotte, Jack, and Abigail, her siblings, nieces, nephews, and so many other family members and friends.
Cathy married her high school sweetheart Kevin in 1977. They moved to Yellowknife, then Edmonton before finally settling back in Winnipeg where they raised their girls Sara and Carolyn. Upon her and Kevin’s retirement they spent time travelling together and with friends and family. Nothing brought her more joy however, than her grandchildren.
We are heartbroken, and yet we are grateful for the memories we’ve made, and the time that we had together.
The family would like to thank all of the staff at Calvary Place for the excellent care they gave to Cathy over the last year, especially the angels on 3N.
