CORINNE MANSON
(nee ARMBRUSTER, nee TAYLOR)
September 1, 1935 – March 12, 2018
With deep sadness we announce the passing of our beautiful mother, Corinne.
Beloved wife of 18 years to Jack Manson. Much loved mother of Dave (Rae Ann), Leslie (David) and grandchildren Taylor, Hali, Carter, Rhiannon, Caitlin, Andrew, Megan and Erin. Dear sister of Kelly and Ted Taylor (Sharon). Cherished by Jack’s children Scott (Myrna) and Carol. Honoured by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Dave and Lena Taylor and her first husband Alvin Armbruster.
Corinne’s deep love for her family could never be measured, they were her heart and soul. Her greatest treasures called her Nana, some of the more chirpy ones “Nana Banana”. Corinne was raised in Oak Lake and following graduation spent her early years working in healthcare in Brandon, Thunder Bay, Winnipeg, Prince Albert and Moose Jaw. She caught the entrepreneurial bug in 1990 and opened a gift store in Brandon where she succeeded as a budding capitalist. Her gregarious and generous nature drew many dear friends and family into her circle. Many joyous days were spent travelling Australia and Europe with her dear husband Jack, precious winters residing in Puerta Vallarta and summers at the beautiful Lake of Two Mountains. The truest of friends who met all life’s challenges with cheeky wit, courage and much laughter.
A Celebration of Corrine’s Life will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in Knox United Church, 451 18th Street, Brandon. Reception to follow at the Victoria Inn.
In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Oak Lake United Church, Box 89, Oak Lake, MB R0M 1P0 or charity of your choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
