DALE HOWARD CHASE

Dale Howard Chase passed away on August 1, 2022 at the Grace Hospital in Winnipeg,  with his beloved wife Lucy by his side. Dale was 78 years old.

Dale was born on January 28, 1944 in Summerside, PEI to Frank and Elizabeth Chase. As his father was in the armed forces, Dale and his family lived in Summerside, and Saskatoon before moving to Winnipeg in 1958. Dale joined the reserve forces himself while still a teenager.

During his lifetime, Dale worked multiple jobs, and proudly spent over twenty five years working for the City of Winnipeg transit department. After his retirement, Dale and Lucy enjoyed travelling when they had the chance. On one of his most memorable trips he was able to show some of his grandchildren his childhood home on PEI and the planes he grew up around. He was a devoted sports fan and any game night always saw him cheering for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers or Winnipeg Jets.

Along with his wife Lucy, Dale leaves behind his son Shawn (Maryann) Chase, his daughter Carol (Brian) Brown, and step-son Gerald (Jana) Richard along with multiple grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A come-and-go celebration of Dales life will be held at 205 Kimberley Ave, Winnipeg on August 20, 2022, from 1:30 to 4:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his name to the Royal Aviation Museum of Western Canada.
