Uncle Dallas you will be sadly missed and never forgotten. From the nights of playing pool at the ANAF, to our weekly crib tournaments at the Legion, I was so happy to enjoy our time together, and see you smile. Our peaceful mornings, or evenings on the boat looking to put us on the fish will never be the same, and meant so much to me. Your presence, at our lake laughing by the fire, sharing funny stories over and over, enjoying the outdoors to the fullest, and knowing every lake in Manitoba will definitely never be replaced. I have so many memories of catching HUGE fish at Big Whiteshell Lake, which has the reputation for being impossible to successfully fish in the hot summer months. Well you put that reputation to bed every time you came for the weekend. Even when you weren't feeling great, you managed to be peace when we got onto the boat as if your pain all went away. Uncle Dallas, you created my passion for the outdoors, with which I have handed down happily to my children. Thank-you! May you forever enjoy the beautiful sounds of the outdoors, the calmness of water lapping against the side of your boat, and the tranquility of sitting in the Captain's chair as you scout for the next big catch. Rest in Peace Uncle Dallas. xo

Dallas’ gruff but personable presence will be missed in the Seven Oaks cafeteria on dialysis mornings. My condolences to his family.
