DARLENE CAMERON

(Nee Todosichuk)

At home, cared for by husband Ron and daughter Jocelyn, early on Sunday, February 25, 2024 Darlene passed away due to complications from a stroke. Darlene was 80 years old.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband Ron Cameron, daughter Jennefer (Rob) Siwik, daughter Jocelyn Cameron, granddaughters Keila and Mirah Siwik, Pepper Siwik the puppy, and sister-in-law Doris Todosichuk .

Born to Martha and Andrew Todosichuk near Minitonas, Manitoba; Darlene grew up on the farm with brothers John and Steve. After high school Darlene moved to Regina, Saskatchewan; where she met and married Ron and went on to live in Ottawa, Ontario; Winnipeg, Manitoba; and Vancouver, BC; moving back to Winnipeg after retirement. Through the years Darlene was dedicated to her family but also found time to participate in church, Kinsmen & Kinettes, and most recently the local food bank.

Darlene was a very creative person. She enjoyed art, ballroom, modern and line dance, jigsaw puzzles, scrabble, bridge and other games. She passed on the love of all things creative to her kids and her grandkids. She was a kind and caring person and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

The family wishes to thank the staff at HSC Acute Stroke Unit, the homecare team, and the palliative care group for their compassionate care. Thanks also to Rachel and Mark from Wojcik’s Funeral Chapels for their warmhearted guidance. Condolences received from family and friends have been very much appreciated. In lieu of flowers, the family invites you to donate to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, the Alzheimer Society, or to a charity of your choice.

Love is patient;

love is kind.

Love is not jealous

or boastful;

it is not arrogant or rude.

Love does not insist
on its own way;

it is not irritable

or resentful;

it does not rejoice at wrong

but rejoices in the right.

Love bears all things.

Love never ends.
