Darren was my manager at Bonanza, my first job at age 15. He was hilarious and made work fun for all of us. I have very fond memories of Darren, he was a super hard-worker, but was always making us laugh. I'm sorry to hear of his passing, my thoughts are with his daughter and family.

A childhood friend stays in your heart forever. We move on and grow up but always have our memories of childhood friends and our dreams and it's who we are today. My thoughts and prayers are with Mrs Deacon and Jeff and Glen and Tomika. God Bless you all, he is at peace now! P.S. Best time ever when all our families went to the states and we weren't the ones in trouble, Lol, hugs my friend. I will miss you!

I'm so sorry to hear about Darren's passing. It's been years since I saw him, but think of him often. He was always adventurous and had a terrific sence of humour. Whether it be ATVing, going to concerts or just watching movies, he gave me many fond memories of my youth. My heart goes out to his family and friends. May you rest in peace Darren. Carolyn Jones

I knew Darren in Junior high and then we worked together for many years. Who else could make the most inane job seem like it was a gas! Then con you into helping him do it! Thinking of you crawling through the attic at Bonanza and falling through the ceiling onto the front line still makes me chuckle. You made us all laugh with your crazy phrases and nick names. Have thought of you, and your family often throughout the years. Mrs. D. Jeff and Glenn so sorry for your loss. Tamika I hope you have your father's laughter and spirit, as he brought so much joy to so many. (Barbie)

My favorite childhood memories involve go-cart races around Manitou Bay with Deac, Goose, Barc, Blair and my brother, Ted or tag football in the park or sneaking out of our tents when our parents lights finally turned out. Darren was always making us laugh, always enjoying life and will forever live in my heart as a shining light. So nice to see your picture again!

I was saddened to hear of Darren's passing. We were friends from elementary through to high school. While I haven't seen him in many years, I will remember his laugh and how he would often stop by in the summer and we would visit on my parent's front steps. My thoughts and prayers go out to Darren's family.

I am very sorry to hear of the loss of Deac. He was well known in high school, just one of those guys that got along with everyone. I first got to know him in Grade 11 in Drama Class. Mr. Reason, the drama teacher (otherwise, known as the Absent Professor) really took a shining to Darren and saw talent in him, and really worked with him to get him into the plays and acting. He and I were in a 2 person play together, and we laughed so much during our rehearsals. He often came over to my house for lunch (kraft dinner) and we always laughed our heads off. He was a great spirit, full of energy and fun. Although I haven't seen him for many, many years, those are the memories that stand out for me. I send condolences to his family during this very difficult time.
