Obituaries

I was very saddened to read of Daryl’s recent passing. I was his grade 2 teacher at Buchanan School many years ago when I was a new teacher and I loved having Daryl in my class. He was such a unique student in so many ways, mature beyond his years and so kind to others! Very witty too! Always made me laugh. Daryl was brilliant in mathematics. I have never taught any student with such an advanced knowledge and skills in this subject area at such an early age. In fact, Darryl actually completed the entire Grade 2 math program well before Christmas and I had him work on advanced math programming for the rest of the year. Never happened before! I will never forget Daryl. He will truly be missed!
