DAVID JAWORSKI
1951 – 2025
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of David Jaworski on May 20, 2025 at 74 years of age.
Beloved brother of Ted and Cathy (Rick), he was predeceased by his parents Frank (1998) and Florence (2008).
Growing up in the North End, he had a life-long love for the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey team (many years before the Jets came along); he also cheered for the Toronto Blue Jays baseball team, and locally, the Winnipeg Goldeyes.
As a young man, David was in the RCAF Air Reserves 402 Squadron for many years, with a memorable trip to Yellowknife NWT; he always had an interest in aviation, going to air shows and the aviation museum. David also loved animals, including the family black lab Duffy and his brother’s cats.
David worked at Beaver Lumber Garden City and Hebrew Sick Benefit Cemetery, and in later years, he was tasked with tending to momma and driving her to medical appointments.
David had a great love of music. Many of the rock albums he purchased over the years became classics; he was often our “secret weapon” at music trivia. One of David’s fondest memories was his attendance at the Man-Pop festival.
Thank you to the staff at Windsor Park Place and Golden Links Lodge, especially for information regarding Lewy Body (LBD). A graveside service will be held later this summer.
Donations in his memory may be made to Parkinson Canada or a charity of your choice.
