Sorry to hear of Dave's passing. He was a very kind and gentle man with an absolutely fantastic sense of humour. I always loved sitting down at a table with Dave and talking about whatever the subject of the day was. You will be missed.

Deepest condolences to all the family. We lost a good person. Worked with Dave many years at ABC Fire where he was one of the bosses. He was liked by everyone. I never heard him raise his voice at anybody. Great to have had the privilege of those years with you. Be missed by your old employees & customers alike. May you rest in peace. J.P.

Condolences to the Morris family. Grew up not far from the Morris family and played hockey with both Dave & Gord. Had a good time with them and went to school at Hugh John. Also knew Jenni. Did have a business experience with David when he was at Safety Supply. Thinking of you all during this difficult time. Wade Christensen Port Coquitlam, BC.

A very helpful/knowlegable/friendly and quiet man. Dave, it was a pleasure to have known you, and I'll miss you calling me 'young man'. On behalf of myself and the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, rest peacefully Dave.

I'll remember Dave for his quiet but dry humor, his genuine interest in his customer's needs, and his willingness to go the extra mile for his customers, whether it be letting us demo an item, giving us a break on price for personal purchases, and attending our fundraising events on his own time. Dave was a true friend to the Fire Services of Manitoba, and will be missed very much.

I met Dave through Reliant Action and he quickly became one of my favourite people. He had a wonderful sense of humour and was easy to talk to. I truly looked forward to seeing him every day and miss our lunches together. Dave made the world a better place just by being in it. My deepest condolences to his family.

On behalf of all the members in our poker leaque, David will be greatly missed. His quiet dignity and gentle humor was always welcome when he sat down to a table for an evening game. It is our honor to count him as a friend.

So sad to hear about Dave. He was one of my favourite bosses. I knew Dave from 1978 to 1988 when he hired me at Safety Supply. He was a fair, caring and gentle man. He always had a smile on his face. I remember him for his jokes, and his profound advice and was always easy to talk to. Condolences to his family, especially Jeff and Bernie and families. RIP David. Jeanne Cumming

I will miss drying dishes at the Lake with David, the stories he told me, and his dry sense of humor. It was noticible to all how great was his love for his grand-daughter and what joy she brought to him. Baba told me he teased her about being his girlfriend and always offered to take her to Southbeach. They had a special connection. My family and I will miss him.

I would like to express my condolences to the family, Dave is sadly missed at Reliant. Thanks Dave for everything you have taught me about fire products, but mostly thanks for just being there. Really miss you in the mornings, when no-one else is in yet.
