DAVIS NELSON DALES
Peacefully on Sunday June 7, 2015 Davis passed away at the age of 91 years.
Davis is survived by his daughter, Judy Bromley (Garth); son, Bruce and his pride and joys grandsons, Tyler Bromley (Stefanie) and Travis Bromley (Melanie); brother, Sheldon; sister, Betty Vancoughnett (Robert); sister-in-laws, Doris Griffiths and Florence Horan. He also leaves to mourn many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents Mabel and Walter, brother, Arnold (Jean), sister-in-law, Thelma Dales, brother-in-laws, Dennis Grifffiths and Lloyd Horan. Also, the LOVE of his life, his wife of 54 Years, Phyllis.
On November 17, 1923 Davis was born in Duff, Saskatchewan. He met his wife Phyllis in Hamiota, MB where he owned Dales Garage and enjoyed hobby farming that included Arabian horses. In 1969 Davis and Phyllis moved to Winnipeg, where he received his teaching degree and began teaching auto mechanics at R.R.C.C. 1985 was the peak of his career, he became the department head of Automotive Mechanics and Autobody at R.R.C.C. and co-author of numerous automotive text books used around the world.
Davis loved cars, travel, horses, music, and people. But, in his later years family time was his most valued possession. His son Bruce would visit him from Vancouver and they would enjoy doing different projects together. Tyler and Travis visited him regularly and he cherished every moment, they would share stories, snacks, and watch sports on T.V.
In compliance with Davis? wishes, no Funeral Service will be held.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Davis’ memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
Love you forever Papa, miss you always. Our lives will be forever blessed by your presence and will never be the same without you. Give Oma a hug for us. Keep singing our song you are my sunshine, my only sunshine….
