DENNIS ALLAN KENTNER
SEPTEMBER 14, 1958 – JULY 24, 2023

On Monday July 24th at approximately 5:45pm, Dennis Kentner passed away peacefully after a lengthy battle with cancer. Dennis was a kind and gentle spirit with a profound fondness for animals and young children. He doted on his cat, Scooby, spoiling him with the finest wet cat foods, cat trees and more toys than one cat could know what to do with. Dennis was a skilled professional who worked many years in the flooring industry alongside his good friend Paul Wheeler. Dennis could eyeball the square footage and material requirements of any room with impressive accuracy. Dennis loved to be busy. He always made himself useful when paying visits to friends, picking up and cleaning just to keep his hands moving. He was a hard worker and an absolute asset to those he chose to work for. Dennis was sweet and considerate and humble. He only took what he needed to get by and never asked for more. When Paul was diagnosed with cancer, Dennis was at his side every step of the way – taking Paul to his doctor’s appointments, feeding and caring for him loyally until the end, providing the kind of friendship and support very few of us are lucky enough to have in our most vulnerable moments. He knew what was truly valuable in life and it showed in the way he lived.

Dennis, may you rest in peace. By now we’re sure you’ve reunited with Paul and are feeling fine and free on the other side.

Dennis will be cremated according to his wishes and no formal service will be held.
