Funeral Home

DIANNE STEPHANIE BONE

Dianne passed away on Saturday, July 30, 2022, in Winnipeg, and the hole that she has left in all our hearts is endless, and although we are eternally grateful for the time we were blessed with, she left us all too soon.

Dianne was born on February 8, 1980, (to two doting parents, Jacqueline Bone nee Govereau and Dennis Bone in Winnipeg, MB), she was a bundle of joy from the very beginning. Dianne enjoyed pastimes such as swimming, painting, and dancing in her early age and as she grew into her young adult years, her focus shifted to Indigenous culture and continuous learning. After graduating from high school in the late 1990s, Dianne went on to pursue a Bachelor of Arts degree in Indigenous Studies at University of Manitoba in Winnipeg.

Dianne graduated from University of Manitoba in 2008 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Indigenous Studies. Prior to this time (1997), she met Allan. The two fell in love and were a match made in heaven, going on to have two children: Marshall Bone, and Luke Bone. Being a mother was one of the most important parts of Dianne’s life, a role that gave her much pride and joy. She was a loving mom, supportive, kind, hilarious, and witty and we will all miss her dearly.

Dianne was predeceased by her maternal grandparents,  Hugh Govereau, and Shirley Govereau, nee Mason, paternal grandparents, Elwood Bone, and Irene Bone nee Tanner. Mother, Jacqueline Bone nee Govereau, Father, Dennis Bone, and, Stepfather “dad,” Raymond Young. She is survived by her two children, her loving brother, Brian (June) Govereau, and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.

A Service of Remembrance to honour Dianne will take place on Friday, August 19, 2022, at Wojcik’s Chapel of Memories at 1020 Main Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba at 1:00 p.m.
