I wanted to relay a story to Don's family relating to the generosity of heart and the wisdom that Don offered to us so long ago. A few months after I was engaged my fiancé started wondering how it could be possible that there was only one person in the world that he could love for the rest of his life? The question plagued him to the point of us calling off our engagement while he searched for the answer. One day he decided to stop in at the church where Don Lawrence served, and Don was so gracious and spent time with him, even though they didn't know each other. Don said that it wasn't that there could only be one person that you could love in the world as your partner, but rather that you make the decision each day to love that one person. That was an answer that made a lot of sense and we then began to plan our wedding again. Don's words became part of our vows and have remained at the forefront of our awareness through life. We offer much gratitude to Don and pass on our sympathy to his family and friends. -Marg Janick-Grayston
