Our family is sad to announce the sudden passing of Donna Gail Gylywoychuk on November 24, 2022.
Born in Winnipeg on November 18, 1945, she was predeceased by her parents, Fred and Olive Petruga, and is survived by her loving husband of 56 years Ernie, her Children Shelley (Terry) and Cory (Breanne), and her seven grandchildren (Taylor, Mackenzie, Will, Connor, Chloe, Brooklyn and Brody).
Donna loved to golf, putter around in her garden, read, cook, and spend time with her friends and family. After a long career, she and Ernie enjoyed their retirement, spending many years traveling down to Florida during the winter to golf, explore, make many new friends, and enjoy the warm weather.
One of her greatest joys in life was to spend time with her grandchildren. She was always planning a new adventure, surprising them with the latest creation from her kitchen, cheering loudly for them during sporting events or dance recitals, and spending long hours at the dining room table playing board games and cards.
She was quick to brighten your day with her smile and sense of humour, generous with her time, and quick to give you a hug. She will be deeply missed.
The family would like to thank Dr. Rizi and the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital.
In respect to Donna’s wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral or memorial service. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made on her behalf to the charity of your choice.
