On Tuesday, June 2, 2015,Dorothy Mae Owens passed away peacefully at the Grace Hospital at the age of 85 years.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Michael (Catherine), Scott (Nicolette), Warren (Jennifer); and granddaughters Alexandra, Caitlin, Rachel and Nicole. She was pre-deceased by her husband Trevor Norman Owens.
In 1950 Dorothy graduated nursing and began her career at the Grace Hospital. She nursed for a span of forty years only taking time out to raise her three boys. In her later years she continued to spend time tending to those who needed extra care. Dorothy enjoyed music, gardening, animals and spending time with family and friends.
A private service was held on Friday, June 5, 2015, in accordance with her wishes.
Thank you to all the medical staff and friends who helped Dorothy over the past years.
