DOROTHY WHILLANS
    On Sunday, April 3, 2016, Dorothy died peacefully at the Golden West Centennial Lodge, at the age of 89 years. She was born in Calgary, Alberta on April 27, 1926.   Remaining to cherish Dorothy’s memory are her brother, Dick (Linda); daughters, Sandra and Kathryn (Guy); sons Richard (Daphne) and John; eight grandchildren, Chris, Cate, Michael, Elizabeth, David, Andrea, Evan and Roz and one great-grandchild, Ben. She was predeceased by her husband, Neil and brothers, Frank and Ron.   Dorothy was a long-time resident of St. James and a faithful member of The Church of St. Stephen and St. Bede and an active member of the church community.   A celebration of Mom’s life will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in The Church of St. Stephen and St. Bede, 99 Turner Avenue, Winnipeg, MB.   We would like to thank the staff at the Golden West for their wonderful care of our mother.   In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Salvation Army (http://www.salvationarmy.ca/donate-now/).   Wojcik’s Funeral Chapels & Crematorium, Winnipeg, 2157 Portage Avenue, 204.897.4665 www.wojciksfuneralchapel.com
