Our Mum passed away, gently and knowing that she was surrounded by love, on Monday, August 15, 2016, at Tuxedo Villa in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 98 years. She was very tired and had been talking to God about her time. Now is her time. She won’t be blind any longer, will not need a hearing aid or a wheel chair or oxygen. She will see clearly, hear the music well and be able to dance again with her beloved husband, Bob Willacy We, Dorothy’s children, Dorothy and Jim Long, Ann Morgan Willacy, David and Wendy Willacy; grandchildren, David and Jan Long, Jeffrey and Michelle Long, Janet and Daryl Pal, Christine and Chris Arnould-Mart, Meredith and Robert Arnould-Muhumuza, Samantha Willacy, Kimberly and Chris Sajecki, Jason Willacy and Colleen Sandaker; together with great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends will dearly miss her being in our lives and enriching us all with her love of stories, sense of fun and value of all of us to her. A Funeral Service will be held for Dorothy on Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the Pinawa Lutheran Church, 25 Massey Avenue, Pinawa, Manitoba. Interment will follow in the Pinawa Cemetery. We would like to acknowledge the wonderful caring staff at Tuxedo Villa. They made it look easy but we know their work is not.
