Obituaries

Sincere condolences to Edith’s family. As a beginning teacher I worked with Edith in the mid sixties and again as her administrator in the early 80’s. When I first started teaching I was awe of her abilities as an excellent teacher in the primary section. You could always go to Mrs. Ugrin or her friend and colleague Mrs. deBlonde for help and timely advice. When I returned in the 8o’s she was the same dependable well prepared and effective teacher I had met 20 years before. The last time I saw Edith was at my retirement in 2000. I was honoured to have her attend and share some “remember when” stories of Prendergast School. Again my sincere condolences to her extended family. Olivia Stadnyk
