We played darts with Ed for many years. He was a very good player. It was a shock to us to hear of Ed's passing. He will be missed very much.

It is with great sadness to learn of Ed's passing. He was always a cheerful quiet person and his love for animals was quite evident. My sincere condolences to his family.

Dave and I will really miss Ed at darts this year. We are very glad we were able to spend time with Inga and Ed at the banquet this last spring. A wonderful couple.

I would see Ed every few years. There would be somebody at my door and it would be Ed. Just to have a coffee and chat for a while.

Eddie will be sadly missed. Donna, Amber and Myself had the pleasure having Ed as a guest one Christmas here in Mississauga. He was still on the boats then and was over wintering in Owen Sound. We are saddened to hear of his passing. Our condolences. Donna, Rick and Amber.

Ed was a wonderful brother. He was very quiet and stoic, with a caring personality who many times did acts of kindness anonomously without a second thought. He searched all his life, short as it was, for his soulmate. He found her in the new millenia, Inga Thorsteinson. They created a wonderful life together in Winnipeg with his two dogs and cats. He was inspired by his many uncles and his father to join The Canadian Coast Guard at a young age. He in turn was a source of inspiration to his nephew, my son Sandy, to do the same by joining the Navy and serving on submarines for 26 years. Ed had a compassionate nature and took pleasure in helping others, people and animals. I love you Ed and miss you. Carol

Eddie and I grew up together as neighbours. We shared many exciting times enjoying the small town atmoshere. Ed and I were close friends when we were teenagers and talked about going out in the world and finding our own way how to discover what we are indivually looking for. I am proud to hear all the acomblishments Eddie has achived throughout his life and the wonderful woman that he fell in love with and married.

Ed and I may not have seen each other very often over the years but it was always such a pleasure when we did and could reminisce. He was a quiet, gentle man...a great guy and I am very saddened to hear of his illness and his passing. Inga we met only once at Uncle Reg's funeral but I could tell Eddie was very lucky to have you in his life. Please accept my heartfelt condolences. Kathy xoxo
