EILEEN KENNEDY(HAUFEK) nee RUDNEY
    It is with deep sadness that we announce our dearly loved Mother passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at the age of 106 years. Mom was peaceful and gently passed in her sleep at River East Personal Care Home which had been her kind and loving home for the last eight years.   Mom is survived by her three remaining children, Elphie, Neil, Diana; grandchildren, D’Arcy, Dana, Rory, Sharon, Craig, David, Alan, Michelle, Tara, Cindy, Donald, and Jana; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Frank Haufek; second husband Donald Kennedy; her eldest son Frank. Mom’s sister Elphie and her brothers Joe, Jack, Ben, Stan and Paul have all predeceased her, making her the last of her generation. Working at The Bay Mom had made many wonderful friends, who sadly, had left her a sole survivor of the group.   We had the benefit of Mom’s warm hospitality, Christmas dinners, her specialties of perogies, cabbage rolls, pies, cakes, picnics in the park, all prepared, organized by her and enjoyed by all.   In compliance with our Mom’s wishes, no Funeral Service will be held.   Many, many thanks and appreciation to the very kind and caring staff at River East Personal Care Home.
