Dear Brenda, Jan, Cheryl, Ken and Patti, I'm so sorry to learn the sad news of Eileen's passing. I have always admired Eileen for many things including her brilliant mind, business acumen and her keen wit. I have many great memories involving uproarious laughter and so much fun when Eileen was involved. Tales and shenanigans of when Eileen would 'babysit' us Kopansky kids and times spent at Evelyn's cottage still have us laughing to tears. Our world will miss Eileen. I am sad for the loss. I am also grateful to have known Eileen. Her spirit of serious fun is something I cherish and will never forget . with love , Marilyn

So sorry to hear of Eileen's sudden passing. She was such an amazing lady. Super smart, loving and tons of fun. I have very fond memories of spending time with her in Toronto, in Winnipeg, up north at Mink Lake, and at our family reunions. As kids, we used to secretly listen to the antics of the frequent poker games with my mom and dad, Eileen and Dave and Gord and Dylis. We used to get up early in the morning to 'find' the money that was dropped on the floor during the game - of course, you all put it there for us to find (probably so that you could all sleep in...). Eileen had a wicked sense of humour, a mischievous chuckle, and a boisterous laugh which would in turn make everyone laugh around her. So infectious was her joy of being with family, having fun and sharing her big hugs and love. We loved having her join the Kopansky gang on our Dominican Republic trip - it just made it that much more adventurous fun. The mother of a beautiful family, a smart entrepreneur, an entertaining cousin/aunt, and a truly kind person, Eileen will be sorely missed. All our love, Deb, Ray, Jeff, Madison, Robyn and Seb (Kopansky-Giles family)

Eileen, You will be missed by so many who had the honour of knowing you. I have so many wonderful and wondrous memories of you including the times the Kopansky gang visited you and the family in Grimsby where (to put it mildly), all hell broke loose. So much fun and we’d laugh our asses off. You were extremely smart and witty and I certainly learned a thing or two observing you strategize over your card games and many other games. You were always a competitor and a fair player and quite a challenge to beat. I’ll never forget the time at Aunt Doreen’s place when we were all together for the Turner reunion and Al challenged me and I stepped up to that challenge which quite shocked Al. I still laugh when I think about his and your reaction to that moment. Thank you Eileen for the wonderful memories and for also bringing into the world such awesome kids who have, in turn repeated that along with their children. What a legacy you have left. Love you so much and will miss you dearly. Love Nancy
