Peacefully on Sunday, March 29, 2015 Eileen joined her son Geoffrey and sister Iris Thiry in Gods care. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
Left to grieve Eileen?s passing are her brother, Alan Cowell and his wife Susan; nephews, Mark (Deanna), Dean Mantie (Nicole) and Dale Mantie; nieces, Debbie Synder (Jeff), Linda Gate (Robert) and Janet Martin (Greg); brother Donald and his family who live in England; as well as many great nieces and nephews who adored Auntie Eileen.
Eileen was born in England and immigrated to Canada with her son Geoffrey in 1949. She worked for many years at Eaton’s Department Store in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba before joining the staff at Victoria General Hospital where Eileen worked for over 30 years.
Mass of the Resurrection will be Celebrated on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 320 St. Charles Street, Winnipeg, MB, with Rev. Fr. Paul Tinguely, presiding. Inurnment will follow in the St. Charles Roman Catholic Parish Cemetery.
A special thank you to the staff at Tuxedo Villa for their compassion and the care they extended Eileen during her last days.
