ELEANORE ISFELD

May 11, 1928 – December 16, 2023

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Eleanore Isfeld, on December 16, 2023.

Eleanore was born at the family home on the farm in Brokenhead, Manitoba on May 11, 1928. She moved with her family to Winnipeg and married John on November 29, 1952.  Shortly thereafter they moved to St. James where they resided and raised a family of five children until John’s passing in 2019. Eleanore continued to reside in the family home on Rita Street until 2022.

Left to survive Eleanore are her five children, Linda (Jim), John Jr. (Cheryl), Brent (Geri), Tim (Dana) and Robert (Joanne); nine grandchildren, Christopher (Nicole), Erik (Sophie), Darren, Andrea (John), Jason (Jaime), Kendra (Jordan), Kaitlin, Ailaina (Bo) and Leah; and six great-grandchildren, Ellawin, Eden, Wes, Palmer, Walt and Carson. Eleanore was predeceased by her parents William and Nellie Perry, and her siblings Harry, Bern, Johnnie and Sandy.

Mom took great pride in all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She went out of her way to make special occasions very special. Whether it was a birthday, Thanksgiving, Easter or especially Christmas you could be assured there would be a fantastic meal, decorations galore and gifts for everyone. Even into old age Mom never missed sending out a Christmas or Birthday card. Mom’s dedication to her family has been an inspiration to us all. She was dearly loved by all and will be sadly missed and remembered daily.

The family greatly appreciates the support Mom received from her caregivers and would like to thank Amy, Cecilia, Josephine, Melissa and Yolanda for the comfort, safety, security and friendship they provided to Mom both at home and at Lions Manor PCH. We would also like to acknowledge our gratitude for the care and attention Mom received from all the staff on the second floor at Lions Manor.

Cremation has taken place and Mom’s ashes will be interred at the family plot at the Lutheran Cemetery in Selkirk, MB. A family service will take place at a date to be determined.

Rest in peace Mom,

Until we are all together again
