Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some stay for a while and leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never ever the same. Betty has enriched many lives by her presence. We will miss her. She will be forever in our hearts.

Betty was a inspiration to us all. Until a couple of years ago she looked like a running back with her purse tucked under her arm head down scooting down the street. I was honored in recent years to be a first responder when she slid out of her favorite chair (a least bi monthly) she honestly always had a smile when I went over. we will dearly miss her! A most genuine and caring lady.

When Betty played the piano for our Residents she made the keys dance. Residents did not ever want to miss her sing along. She could play anything if she heard it once, even if someone hummed it for her! She volunteered at Heritage Lodge for a great number of years and rarely missed her Tuesday afternoon 2 pm program, no matter the weather. All she wanted in return was a cup of tea and a cookie or two. She always came with a smile and greeted everyone as a valued friend. She volunteered here into her 90's still taking the bus in spite of the weather. I can only remember once when she accepted cab fare to get back home. She also played once a month for the church service and if the minister was late or missed his commitment he had Betty to contend with. She was an inspiration to many of us. I am sure many people have fond memories of their time with Betty.
