ELLICE THORPE On Thursday, January 24, 2013, Eli’s Funeral Service was held at 1:00 p.m. the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue.Publish Date: Jan 26, 2013ELLICE THORPE 1927 – 2013 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ellice (Eli) Thorpe on Sunday, January 20, 2013 with his family by his side. Left to mourn Eli’s memory are his son Robert (Pauline); daughter Linda; grandchildren Monica (Nate), Ian (Bonnie) and Stacey; great-grandchildren Ashley, Ariana, Noah, Sydney, Arley and Cameron; brothers Leslie (Margaret), Irvin. He was predeceased by his wife Beatrice; parents Ethel and Robert; brother Royce, and son-in-law Rick. Eli was born in McCreary, raised in Pine Falls and moved to Balmoral in his late teens where he met his wife Bea, of 54 years. Dad lived life to the fullest, had a heart of gold and had an infectious personality. He loved going to Brooklands Pioneer Club to be with his friends, as it was his second home and also made many friends at the Fred Douglas Lodge. On Thursday, January 24, 2013 Eli’s Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. at the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street at Manitoba Avenue. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Seven Oaks General Hospital and the Grace Hospital for their care and compassion. Dad/Grandpa will be sadly missed by all.
