ELMA (ELIZABETH) DOYLE (nee TOEWS) On Sunday, June 2, 2013 Elma passed away peacefully, after a brief illness in Winnipeg, at age 85. She is survived by her son, Richard (Jen); brother Albert (Joan); brother Alan (Marie); as well as her brother-in-law Richard (Judy) and their family in Australia, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her loving husband Graeme; parents John and Helen, and brother Bud. Elma was a retired nurse who worked in Canada and the US, and a long time employee of Great-West Life after she retired from nursing. She enjoyed walking in gardens, listening to music, and taking in movies and theatre with Richard and Jen. Elma loved animals, especially her grandkitty, Lily, who was adopted from the Winnipeg Humane Society in 2002. In keeping with Elma’s wishes, there will be no service. Her ashes will be added to Graeme’s and interred in a niche. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the Winnipeg Humane Society would be deeply appreciated.
