ERNEST MICHASIW
DECEMBER 20, 1934 – FEBRUARY 19, 2024

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ernest at the age of 89 years on Monday, February 19, 2024 peacefully at home with family at his side.

He is survived by his wife Mary of 63 years, son Wayne (Sharon), three step grandchildren and five great grandchildren, his sister Anne (Bill) and numerous nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his parents Michael and Nellie Michasiw, sisters Mary, Stella and Rose, brothers Dan and Harry.

Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Basil’s Ukrainian Catholic Church 202 Harcourt Street. Father Mykhaylo Khomitskyy officiating. Graveside service to follow at Chapel Lawn Cemetery 4000 Portage Avenue.

Special thanks to Dr. Winogrodzka and staff, the Cancer Care doctors and the Palliative Care team who looked after him.

The family would also like to thank all relatives, friends and neighbors for their caring sympathy, cards, flowers, visits, phone calls and support during this difficult time.
