EUGENE RAYMOND DUCHARME Peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2014, Eugene Ducharme of Winnipeg, passed away at home after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 82 years. Eugene is survived his by daughter, Rachel Trakys (Jonathan) and son, Henri (Alli) Ducharme; grandchildren, Ashley, Rebecca, Austin Allison, Kimberly, Derek, Carter and Tina (Chris); great-grandchildren, Chloe, Seth, Seth, Zola-Marie and Declan; brothers, Armand, Wilfred, sisters Cecile and Angela; aunts, Lucie and Annette. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Julienne; son Gregoire; brothers, Alain, Denis; sisters, Geraldine, Anita and Roberta; and parents, Elie and Lea. Born in Portage la Prairie Eugene was raised on the family ranch in St. Ambroise, MB. He met the love of his life, Julienne and they were married in 1962. Eugene’s love of the Lord brought him to become a Knight of Columbus and a Eucharist minister with St. Ann’s Parish. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, December 6, 2014 in at 11:00 a.m. in St. Ann’s Roman Catholic Church, 271 Hampton Street, Winnipeg with Rev. Fr. Ceas Chmiel presiding. Eugene’s family wishes to send a special thank you to palliative care nurses, Trish and Michelle.
