It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eunice Popowich on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the age of 72 years. She died peacefully at Victoria Hospital with family by her side. Remaining to cherish Eunice’s memory are her son Ian and daughter-in-law Magdalena; brother Don; sisters Margaret (Donald), Thelma and Susan (Dave) and sisters-in-law Shannon and Lorraine. She was predeceased by her father Jacob; mother Ottilia; sisters Alice and Jean; brothers Clarence, Robert and Herbert. Eunice was born and raised in Neudorf, SK and moved to Winnipeg where she raised her son Ian. She loved to travel, and her favorite destination was to Nova Scotia to meet her favorite entertainer Anne Murray. Eunice’s pastime was golfing, reading, crossword puzzles and the occasional trip to the casino. On Friday, May 26, 2017 Eunice’s Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue with Rev. Don Engel presider. The family would like to express their appreciation to the wonderful staff at Victoria Hospital for the kindness and care that Eunice received during her brief time there.
