August 22, 1924 - March 15, 2015

FRANK JOHN MASIOWSKI

On Sunday, March 15, 2015, Frank Masiowski passed away peacefully at Luther Home in Winnipeg, Manitoba at the age of 90 years.
Frank will be missed by his wife, Ethel; and children, Brad (Marie Dusecina), Arlene Davidson (Mark Friesen) and Debbie Mackay (Donald). His passing will also be felt by his grandchildren, Darren, Justin, Aleshia, Sydni and Marly; siblings, Tom, Anne Giroux (Larry) and Jean Stephen (Harold); as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Joe, Anton, Agnes Slater, Helen Pascal, Pauline Johnston, Carl, Nick, Peter and Stan; as well as by the tragic loss of his first son, Frankie.
On August 22, 1924, Frank was born to the late Anastasia (nee Kotlarchuk) and John Masiowski in Dauphin, Manitoba. He was one of thirteen children. Frank married Ethel (nee Chornoboy) in 1950, in Rorketon, MB. Over the course of their married life they lived in North Lake, MB; Sifton, MB; Minaki, ON; Thompson, MB; Ninette, MB; and Winnipeg, MB.
As a teen, Frank passionately served in the Fort Garry Horse Military Cadets. Although he had many jobs throughout his life, Frank took great pride in his work as a heavy equipment operator. Frank will be remembered for: always being the first one on the dance floor, being ready for a game of Cribbage at a moment?s notice, finding the best wild berry patch, and for never failing to be the first person to notice the signs that spring was coming.
Frank?s Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Wojcik?s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street, Winnipeg, MB.
