Obituaries

It brings us great sadness and broken hearts to announce the death of our dear husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather who passed away on Sunday, February 4, 2018 at 11:20 p.m.

Mickey will be sadly missed by his wife Louise; his daughter Terry (Todd) Lowey and children Brienne (Sean) Bodkin, Brittany (Ryan) Manz and great grandchildren Harper and Vivienne Bodkin; his son, Bruce (Wendy) and their son Austin MacDonald; his daughter, Cindy Paul and her daughter and son, Ashley and Derek; and his daughter Jodi MacDonald Rupps and her daughters Chloë and Stacey (Dave Rupps). He was predeceased by his mother, Ethel MacDonald and father Robert MacDonald, along with his sister Jean (Len) Reece. On Louise’s side, he is survived by her sons, Darryl Heaton and his daughters; Dave and Jayne and their children; sister Joyce (Jeff) Maw and brother Bruce (Debbie). He was predeceased by Louise’s parents Julie and John Shumski. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

We said a prayer for you today that God would touch you with his healing hands and give you comfort and peace to carry you through to the next journey. You are forever in our hearts and we love you dearly. We are grateful that our father is finally at peace.

The family invites everyone to attend a celebration of Mickey’s life which will be held on Friday, February 9, 2018 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Deer Lodge Community Centre, 323 Bruce Avenue.

The families would like to thank the staff at Concordia and St. Boniface Hospitals.
