GARTH ROGERS

June 24, 2013

GARTH ALAN ROGERS 1946 – 2013 It is with deep regret we announce the sudden passing of Garth Alan Rogers on Monday, June 24, 2013 at the age of 66 years. Garth is survived by daughter Stacey (Dustin) of St. Francois Xavier; son Kyle (Sheena) of Winnipeg; son Kevin (Jasmine) of Winnipeg; sister Terry (Brian) of Panama; sister Donna (Derek) of Shoal Lake, and brother Bob of Winnipeg. He was also a proud grandfather to grandsons, Cain (Kevin), Jude (Stacey) and Gabriel (Stacey). He was predeceased by his mother Claire and father Kemmel. On July 23, 1946 Garth was born to Alan Kemmel Rogers and Claire Edna Reichmuth. He was raised in River Heights where he graduated from Kelvin High School and was a graduate of the University of Manitoba. Garth was a true outdoorsman with a love of hunting and fishing who loved nothing more in life than spending the summer at the cottage and the fall hunting with his buddies. He was an avid supporter of Ducks Unlimited, one of his favourite organizations. Garth’s unique character will be truly missed by his family and friends. His humour, quite often puns, could always brighten one’s day. A Celebration of Garth’s Life will be held on Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Breezy Bend Country Club, 7620 Roblin Boulevard, Headingley, Manitoba. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6.
