Left to forever cherish Gena’s memory are her four children, daughters Barbara Pieczko (Kazmier); Mary Dubois (John); Judy Linscer; son Andrew Pietrzak (Cynthia); eight grand-children and 12 great-grandchildren. Gena loved gardening and needlepoint and was very active till the end. Arrangements were made for her to travel to Nelson, BC to celebrate her ninetieth birthday with her anticipation to return home to start her garden. Tragically the day of her departure she had a massive stroke and heart attack. On Wednesday, April 18, 2012, Gena’s Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Chapel of Memories in Wojcik’s Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main Street @ Manitoba Avenue. In lieu of flowers, donations in Gena’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Babcia, as all lovingly called her, will be sadly missed. If tears could build a stairway And memories build a lane; I’d walk right up to heaven And bring you home again.
