We are very sorry to hear of your Mom's passing. It won't be the same driving past her house and not seeing her beautiful garden and wondering where she got the energy to maintain it. Our thoughts are with you.

Gena will always be known to me as Mrs. Pietrzak. I never knew a time when I wasn't welcome in the Pietrzak home. Even when I would show up unexpectedly. This is a woman who grew up in the toughest of times, during the Second World War in Poland. She survived the harsh realities of that time. She started a new life with her children in a strange land and overcame many obstacles. She was a survivor. That was apparent.Mrs. Pietrzak had a lovely Persian cat that I'm sure misses her. Her cat Misha, not the friendliest furball, but as you got to know the kitty, she was a lovely, sweet creature. These two kept each other company almost 20 years. Misha, I called her Mishka (mouse), will be travelling to a new land too with her new caring owners, Mrs. Pietrzak's daugher Mary and her husband John.I have fond memories of my childhood associated with Mrs. Pietrzak and her children. Thank you Mrs. Pietrzak.
